Post-Secondary Student Support
Navigating post-secondary life can be exciting — but it can also feel overwhelming. Academic pressure, changing relationships, financial stress, and uncertainty about the future can all take a toll on your mental health.
At In Mind Therapy, we offer support designed specifically for college and university students, as well as recent graduates and emerging professionals. This stage of life is a major transition — a time of self-discovery, decision-making, and growing independence often paired with pressure to “figure everything out.” With new responsibilities and shifting expectations, it’s common to feel anxious, unmotivated, or unsure of what comes next. Many young adults feel like they’re supposed to have it all together while quietly struggling or comparing themselves to others.
Therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of where you are and where you’d like to go. Whether you’re navigating stress, anxiety, burnout, or simply need a place to talk things through, we’re here to support you in building clarity, confidence, and a way forward that feels right for you.
Our therapists work with you to create support that fits your schedule, needs, and budget.
We understand that student life is busy and finances can be tight. Our therapists work with you to create support that fits your schedule, needs, and budget. We can also help you explore Ontario funding options, such as the Ontario Bursary for Students with Disabilities (BSWD), to help cover the cost of therapy.

Support With Navigating Campus Resources
Many students don’t realize that navigating school support systems is a skill in itself. At In Mind Therapy, our therapists have experience working within post-secondary institutions and understand how campus services operate. We support students in making sense of the resources available to them, including campus mental health services, and can help guide them through the process of accessing academic accommodations. We also work with students to build confidence and develop strategies for advocating for themselves within their institution, so they feel more supported and empowered in their academic environment.
Common Areas We Support Students With
Students often reach out for support with a range of challenges that can come up during their academic journey. This may include academic stress and burnout, as well as feelings of anxiety and overwhelm that can make everyday tasks feel more difficult. Many students are also navigating life transitions and exploring their sense of identity, which can bring both growth and uncertainty. Relationship challenges, along with family pressure or expectations, are also common concerns. In addition, struggles with perfectionism and self-doubt can impact confidence, while difficulties with time management and coping strategies can leave students feeling stuck or behind.
How We Can Help
Our therapists understand the unique demands and pressures that come with student life, from academic expectations to personal and social changes. We know that support often extends beyond the therapy room, especially when navigating a complex school environment.
Alongside supporting your mental health, we can help you better understand and access campus resources, including academic accommodations and other support services. We also work with you to build confidence in advocating for your needs, so you can feel more supported, capable, and equipped throughout your academic journey.
